Topic #12
Hey, it's that time of the week again. What time is it then? It's Topic time! So, all of these topics recently have been a little too complex for my little brain. I am not saying that they are bad topics, however, I just think going simple and letting others come up with the big idea part of their drawing is the best. So, what is the topic? This weeks topic is...........................Zombies! So ya'll have fun, ya hear?

Two Doughnuts
Two Things. First off, I now have Photoshop. I have a new respect for the time put into many of your guys drawings now. Second, an explanation. When I was three my mom asked me, "What would you buy with a million dollars?" After thinking for a minute I replied, "A doughnut." "Wouldn't you want to buy anything else?" "You're right. Another doughnut!"

I would buy a bathtub...
...so I could bathe in all of my money!
Any chance I get at drawing a beloved Disney character, especially one such as Scrooge Mcduck, I take it. Interesting that they would make an old duck, who is the star of Mickey's Christmas Carol, the main character for an epic kids show with race cars, lasers, and air-o-planes (which would be the next three things I would get after the tub). Need some context? And here is the theme for Darkwing Duck...since it seemed many of you had never heard of it.

Big Lottery
Yes I know what your thinking. How can someone afford this even while winning the lottery? Well listen carefully. YOU DON'T! I just thought of something really really awesome and here it is!
In this picture, that is me, on a roller coaster, on a mountain of snow (a snowboard for when I'm done with the roller coaster), and tubs of ice cream. By the way, I would have gotten everything free. No lines for the roller coaster, no people in the way on the mountain. Just me and my family!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!

You WOULD need to win the lottery in order to afford one of these
This nifty little fan made talking plushie of our dearly beloved and highly controversial "Derpy Hooves" sold for nearly $700. Yes, that's what I said... seven... HUNDRED!
I'm in the wrong business.
I'm in the wrong business.
Oops!
Hey guys! So sorry I forgot to post a topic yesterday, between classes, basketball, and babysitting, I didn't get a chance to go on the computer.
So I guess the topic will be the first thing you bought after winning the lottery.

Does this count?
Of all the internet memes I have seen, I just can't seem to understand the "me gusta". I look at it and see some guy derping, but others see a creepy guy enjoying something in a sketchy manner. So this meme just makes no sense. Here's to this guy being sketchy while enjoying a pipe.
Also, I gots some catchin' up to do. So here's a couple pics for the last topic.

Topics
Hey everyone, I added a list of the topics on the right. Unfortunately, it reads 10 as 1 and then 0 so it is putting Topic 10 before Topic 2...
But the topics are up! Now you can read the blog in normal blog format as the posts come, or if you just want to see the posts that have to do with Nonsensical Expressions, for example, you can do that as well.
I hope you like it!

What's in the pipe?
If the Irish are known for anything, aside from the "Kiss me, I'm Irish" slogan, its their alcoholic beverages. I originally wanted a big beer mug next to his face (maybe I'll add that in the future), but my sources told me that's not what you see when you're drunk. You just pass out. So, I went with the safe bet and gave him something else old Irish folk are known for, their pipes! And what glorious pipe it be! The Scottish love their pipes so much, they have a whole bag devoted to them.
My inspiration this time was The Simpsons, not because it's the greatest show ever, but because no one does nonsensical, or at least dazed expressions like they do.

Less is More?
At what point does the expression “less is more” ever makeany logical sense? Perhaps, if this phrase could make any less sense, would itthen be cycling back up from the bottom towards actual meaning? I mean, justlook at this wee dandy leprechaun leaping over a well-drawn rainbow… if I couldput any less effort into this drawing, would that inadvertently make it morebetter? I think I’m gonna hafta side with my favorite superhero, Perry thePlatypus, on this one, guys: “Wha?”

My Record is Still Unbroken
bet you thought i would pick leprechauns...
but I am refusing to give in to the complacency that suggests choosing the obvious topic afforded by the only holiday in March and deciding to make the topic much more complicated than rainbows and four-leaf clovers...sorry guys.
This week's topic is "nonsensical expressions." Interpret that one how you will...good luck! ;)

Tick-Tock
This is what I have felt like battling the time change this week. How 'bout you? I'm just glad I made it before the new topic. And that this week is my Spring break!
I really wanted to do a Door Man drawing, but hey, what goes around comes around and Joey called his lawyer.
I took from so many sources for this comic cover idea. Too bad I couldn't do 'em justice. But hey, I am absolutely loving everybody's art work, especially this week! Great stuff guys!
Happy Friday!
I was 5. They were dark days.
His name is Captain Fatness.
Those of you with small children or weak stomachs may want to turn of your screen.

Through a long & hard adventure and many levels of trying to defeat the evil pigs, this brave red bird stayed with me from Level 1. He saved my life.

My Hero
Something has been bothering me lately about this blog.
The lack of encouragement from everyone... Sure, some people comment but alot of people are part of this and don't say anything. I dunno, its kinda been bothering me that we aren't encouraging each other like we could be. Come on guys! Comment on people pictures! Find something nice to say and encouraging! I'm not saying I want you to comment on mine. By no means! I don't really care. But I think we should strive to encourage each other more! I mean we have GREAT artists here!!! Okay, i'm done with my little speech. :)
Here is my Hero;
Jesus.
Sorry for my lame picture or quality or whatever. I drew it before class today.
But He honestly is my Hero. He saves me everyday. I love Him so much!!
Thank you God for sending Your Son!
Much Love,
TessieB
Many Happy Returns, or, Hyperlink Flies Again!
The aethernaut returns! ^^ No mashups from me yet, sorry... but I do have a contribution for this week's topic:
This is Hyperlink, a superhero I invented in middle school. After dusting her off, and noticing she's grown up a bit, I don't think she looks half bad. ^^
After accidentally flying into a neon sign, she was crippled by a debilitating fear of heights. But then, her arch-nemesis, Rebound, forced her to relive this horrible memory over and over... until Hyperlink succeeded in "changing her fate" and rejecting the fear associated with the memory.
So, now, as you can see, Hyperlink flies again! :D

Stockholm Syndrome
I had to look up the term after "Stockholm Syndrome" showed up as the first title on my song shuffle. This intriguing condition is defined by Wikipedia as "an apparently paradoxical psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and have positive feelings towards their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them." So who better to illustrate this "paradoxicalpsychologicalphenomenon" than my favorite characters? Beauty and the Beast, that's who! But I can't draw them, so here's these things instead. Also, I like using "quotations."
First Again? Yeahaaah!
Alright, so here is my superhero. His name is...........drum roll please........................................................................................Door Man! Back-story time! Alright so when I was just a young lad, I loved coming up with superheros, but so did Ben and Matt. They made lots and lots of superheros, and all of their names were "copyrighted." So they had taken up all the good names, so I had to come up with my own original superheros. The best one, and this was actually the best one I could make without having copyright issues with my brothers, was Door Man, and he uses different door to smack villeins into jail. Back to present day, so now you know my pain. I just made up the villein and damsel in distress this very week. The villein is Evil Dr. Bleah and the girl is Jessica. So there you go, my superhero drawing is awesome. Bye!

Creature Confidants...
When it comes to the topic of favorite characters, no greater characters are rejected more than the Creature Confidants. Let me explain what I mean.
Who is the fuzzy, or at least cuddly little friend of the main character that not only provides the comic relief, but is also the object upon which the main character can cast their thoughts, concerns, and hopes? The answer to that is none other than their best friend; their Creature Confidant. All too often have I seen great characters like Flounder, Abu, Pascal, that raccoon and hummingbird and other pets from Pocahontas, and the mice from Cinderella be completely forgotten by people when the topic of favorite characters are thrown out. And, even more often, have I seen these "best friends" be completely thrown out the window once the title character's prince (or princess) has come.
I have not forgotten about you, Creature Confidants, you caring wildlife you!
MASHUP - The Three in One
All three of the topics I missed in one. Here it goes.
1. Funny Memory: I made my friend mad and they pulled my pants down.
2. Shuffled Song: Discombobulate (Sherlock Holmes Soundtrack)
3. Favorite Character: A pony I created based off the show My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
... Boom

First one! Yes!
I do have a couple things to say. 1. These are some of my favorite characters. On the left there is Harry Potter and Twilight Sparkle, Phineas and Ferb in the middle, and Doctor Who on the right. 2. I do have other favorite characters, but if I added those in, this drawing would take a LOT of room on the computer I use. 3. Thank goodness for google images! See ya!
