Googleing your name can be both an adventurous and yet verydepressing experience for a guy with the name “Daniel Torres.” For, amoungstthe pastors, broadway performers, soccer players, and facebook posers, I find thatmost Daniel Torreseses are being killed, maimed, or all too often imprisoned.Just look at this poor sap…

Hi Weekly Sketchbook! This is my drawing of Daniel. He is riding "Pinkie-Pie," the best character of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" besides Rainbowdash, that is. And Daniel, this drawing took even LONGER than my Chuck Testa drawing! I hope you are happy I put so much work into your face!

Sorry to everyone who wanted Monday, I think I am going to have to make a hard, executive decision and say the topic giving day is Friday. If you want to butter me up with some ice cream, or perhaps a $25 gift card to Jamba Juice (THAT YOU STOLE) to change my mind, I'm very open to those options. Otherwise, it is Friday.

Contrary to what I may have told you or someone you love, we will be starting at the top of the list. So the first person to go is Alex.

Is Friday the new Tuesday?

Hey everyone! I am LOVIN' the art work!

Two things:

I have been talking to several people, and I think the larger consensus thinks Friday could/should be the new topic giving day (sorry Anna :P). If this is the case, then all we have to do is extend this "week" until Friday, which leads me to the second thing...

I put the list of everyone who is a part of the blog on the left side of the page. We can go down the list in two ways: 1) Start at the top and go down (beginning with A.G.T). This means that since I did the first one, I will get to go twice before many of you get to go at all. Or 2) Keep going down the list from my name (so the next person to go would be Blipblob, and it would continue down and then eventually circle around).

What would be your preference?

Okay, HERE is the real one. And NO, I did not stay up all night on this one... I stayed up two nights. If you don't already know her, I'd like to introduce you to Derpy Hooves. She's probably the most loved character on the newly revamped series "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" but the best part is that her existence is all due to one big mistake on the creators' part... kinda like mooses... moosen... meeses? Gah! Why does there have to be more than one moose?!

Topic #1: Moose!

Hello everyone! Welcome to The Weekly Sketchbook! It is a joy to be able to see God's gifts in people's lives!

Well, the first topic of the blog is Moose! If you are still confused as to how this all works, let me try to briefly explain it to you.

Basically, a topic is given by one of the members of the blog each week (and I guess we can decide on an exact day later). What all of the members are going to do is draw their own interpretation of the topic (in this case a Moose). The art can be colored, but doesn't have to, nor do you need to feel obligated to post a pic each topic. However, it is fun to see what everyone comes up with, and is helpful for the other members when you post something to learn from your style. Don't think you have style? Doesn't matter, cuz you do.

If you are still confused you can check out this blog: http://toonclub.blogspot.com/ where I got the idea for this blog from. Toon Club can also help if you run out of topic ideas, otherwise you can say your topic is "Sketchbook" which means members can post any piece of art they are currently working on.
